PEOPLE | PLACE | PERFORMANCE
The SEALL Festival of Small Halls is a nine-day multi-artform winter festival bringing big music to small halls around the Isles of Skye and Raasay with the emphasis on civic celebration – everyone is welcome. Part of the international network of Small halls, it is the first of its kind in Europe.

We bring the best traditional musicians to our remote rural townships, using Scotland’s national day – St Andrew’s Day – as a reason to celebrate our unique Highland culture in the traditional way.
People, place and performance are the curatorial themes of the project which focuses on “family bonds” in the wider sense and promotes the relevance of Scotland’s traditional culture to present and future generations.
The project will take some of the country’s greatest trad musicians, a writer, visual artist and videographer to public spaces in remote rural areas, helping to join communities to each other and the rest of the world through celebration of civic pride and place, our Gaelic heritage, hospitality and friendship.
We invite everyone to bring their dancing shoes, come along and join in these very special community events.
We look forward very much to welcoming you.
